Kemperol V210 waterproofing is available in both Light and Dark Grey colours, which provide a good simulation for new and weathered lead respectively. It bonds directly to the existing lead substrate, avoiding the need for removal, which can also damage the otherwise sound underlying joinery. Being highly elastic, the Kemperol membrane not only completely waterproofed the roof, including difficult details, but was able to withstand thermal movement caused by repeated warming and cooling of the lead and would easily withstand maintenance foot traffic.
Because Kemperol also bonds to brickwork, the soakers and flashings were neatly encapsulated to give complete integrity to the roof covering. Kemperol not only saved on material and labour costs but was completed in a fraction of the time normally needed for this type of repair. |
