Following discussions with the client, a whole roof encapsulation was proposed using the BBA-certified Kemperol V210. This system comprised a reinforced polyester sheet, impregnated with V210 resin to create a continuous, permanently elastic membrane sealing the entire roof. The plastisol coated metal was first primed using D-primer for a high-performance bond, with the same used to prime the bitumen-coated gutters. The D-primer is particularly versatile as it bonds with a range of existing substrates, this allowed the repair to be undertaken without the inconvenience and cost of removing materials previously used to attempt patch repairs.

Due to the low loading of the Kemperol system no structural reinforcement was necessary and the repair was completed within a few days.
